SYNOPSIS
Hong Kong was never a top of mind destination. When finally finding myself in the city I couldn't help but marvel at the diversity of its people land landscapes. My partner and I stayed on Llama Island for the first few days, commuting by ferry to HK. Llama Island, unfortunately, is not riddled with llama's, but is a nice quiet departure from the Hong Kong machine.
Living in NYC for almost two decades, it might be fair to say I can handle most cities. Hong Kong however was a titan I wasn't prepared for. The sweltering heat, dense humidity, thick smog, frantic pace was familiar but somehow far exceeded my expectations.
